We had a scenic ride today, over rocks, up and down the mountain, thru meadows, across mud, small streams, two good creek crossings and a wooden bridge. The total trip was approx 11 miles from Kennally Creek Campground. On the drive there Alice’s truck decided to quit, so she was able to re park it facing back towards Donnelly and transferred horse and gear to Jean’s rig. Then we had to wait for a herd of sheep to cross the road. Once we all got parked and geared up and saddled up we started our ride. We got to a small meadow creek side area to have lunch approx 5.5 miles up the trail. Just past this location the trail splits so you can go either to Pete’s Lakes or Cougar Lake. Jean Jan & Larry tried the Cougar Trail for a little ways then decided to come back. While the rest of us decided to head back to the trailers. Larry took Alice back to her truck going home and she was able to get it started and got back home safely.
The participants were: Jean, Jan, Larry, Lee & Maryilan, Alice, Gretel, Kathy, Aspen, Sage, Deana and myself Bob.
Thanks to all that came and
