MINUTES
February 24, 2009

MEETING: After DELICIOUS DESSERTS AT DOWDY’S at around 6 PM, the meeting was brought to order by President, Paul Klein.

PRESENT: Anita and Ron VanGrunsven, Linda Davenport, Carolyn Bagot, Al Becker, Jan Whitney, Shirley Glemser, Gretel and Paul Kleint, Linda Hemminger, Helen Glidden, Jean Revaul, Gloria Pippin, Marti Eich, Bridgett Brest, Harvey Meyer, Dan Brown, Dawn Mantle, Peggy Tiedemann, Jackie and Don Dowdy, Jeannie and Leonard Simpson, Joy and Dave Rittersbacher. MINUTES: Dispensed with due to mailing.

TREASURER’S REPORT: By Jan. The balance in the account is $399.56 with a check coming from BCHI for calendars in the amount of approximately $248. Dues are still coming in. A motion was made, seconded, and passed to pay the bills.

OLD BUSINESS:

VOLUNTEER HOURS: Al gave a report which is attached to the original copy. Al will seek a new volunteer agreement with the Payette District Ranger in Council and the Boise National Forest, Cascade Ranger District. He also will contact the Squaw Butte Chapter about the Arling Trail work detail with HBCH.

LIFE FLIGHT: The new yearly policy will be effective on Feb. 28. Is there still time to join?

NEW BUSINESS:

OUTDOOR SHOW: It will be held in Lewiston, March 27-29. A table raffle and a photo contest will be held. To enter photos, contact Helen or Linda H. Gloria Pippin donated an endurance saddle, Helen Glidden donated a scarf, and Linda Hemminger donated jewelry all for the raffle table. Thank you Ladies! MARCH MEETING: It will be a potluck at 6 PM at Linda Davenport’s home in Council. A map will come later.

MOUNTAIN TRAIL CHALLENGE (MTC): Another run this year? Beckers will donate their facilities. More next meeting.

BCH JACKET: A donated jacket was auctioned off by Al Becker. Peg Tiedemann was the jacket winner and HBCH was the recipient of the $15.


ANNOUNCEMENTS:

EQUINE PACK AND TRAIL CLINIC: May 2 in Wilder. Contact Anita V. for info.

COWBOY ACTION SHOOTING BENEFIT DINNER: March 21. Contact Anita V. for info.

PROGRAM: Jeannie and Leonard Simpson from Kuna presented an excellent program on barefoot trimming and its benefits.
